"I have been working with Josh for approximately one year. I am extremely happy with my experiences with Josh and his coaching. I was in search of a coach who could develop a more customized running plan. In short: Josh has been amazing! He is incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. Whenever I have questions, he is quick to respond and outline the pros/cons of a particular decision. Josh provides the team with zoom opportunities to learn more about certain running-related topics (e.g., strength and mobility). He has done an outstanding job of creating a community among his athletes, not an easy task for a team from all over the United States (and several international runners!). I did sustain an injury during the year and Josh was generous with his time during this period and developed a cycling routine (so I would not lose fitness) until I could return to running. "We started together when I was only 6 weeks postpartum and could hardly run 2 miles. Josh had an initial zoom meeting with me to talk about my goals and past experiences. Then over the course of the last 370 days, based off my subjective data he created a running plan that fit my lifestyle and goals. If he can train me through tax season with a 1 year old for an ultramarathon distance, he can train anyone! I had constant changes to my schedule and he was always happy to accommodate.
Josh was in constant communication with me. I could always send him a text or email with questions and he was so thorough teaching me the "whys" behind what I was doing. He even talked to me for over an hour just to calm my nerves before race day!
I truly cant say enough good things about Josh. If you are looking to improve your fitness you should absolutely consider him. You don't have to be training for an ultramarathon or training for anything at all really. Josh can help you PR a 5k or get to the point of running a 5k!
While working with Josh I set several personal records including my best ever 5k time and longest run to date at 41.5 miles. But apart from that I learned so much about consistent and scientific backed training instead of just pulling a cookie cutter plan off the internet."
