All of you have heard me (and/or others) extoll the virtues of easy running. Many have had me tell you to "run easier!" and some of you have probably had me specifically remind you that you get more benefits from an honest-easy effort.
One commonly-stated rule in the endurance training world is that 80% of your running volume
should be at an easy effort.
But why? How? Does that even make sense? Shouldn’t getting “more of a workout” or “working
harder” lead to more benefits? Let’s dig in!
